The future of St. Petersburg: “smart stops”, “smart benches”, counting people street cameras

Technologies of “the smart city” will be introduced together with Rostelecom. The Acting Governor Alexander Beglov and the president of Rostelecom PJSC Mikhail Oseevsky said about it on March 22 in Smolny. The press service of administration of the governor reports about it.
St. Petersburg will soon expect innovations that will soon appear on the main city highways. They include ” smart stops,” “smart benches,” and video cameras that can count people.
“Cooperation of our city and Rostelecom will continue, in common we will apply the most advanced technologies in municipal economy and also to improve the system of video surveillance”, – Alexander Beglov told after the meeting.
Mikhail Oseevsky noted that the company is ready to expand interaction with the city – to introduce new technologies in St. Petersburg, to modernize the system of communication networks.
