Visitors of XII St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum are welcome to attend the exhibition area of the St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University (SMTU) and the Shipbuilding and Marine Facilities Consortium. The exhibition area is dedicated to the Digital Shipyard Project.
The Digital Shipyard Project by SMTU is the first experience of the large-scale application of Industry 4.0 mode in the national shipbuilding sector. The exhibition is comprised of two parts:
The first one is dedicated to Innovation Technologies and Materials of Tomorrow. This will include the R&D results of St. Petersburg scientists that are second to none in Russia and in the world, in particular:
- samples produced based on the technology of the direct laser-based growth of highly-precise large complex products from powdered metal;
- a laser marker and a laser reader;
- samples made of composite materials;
- samples of rust inhibitors;
- samples of the new generation of rust preventive coatings.
The second part of the exhibition area is dedicated to Digitalization of Industrial Technologies. This will include the examples of Digital Solutions: a virtual station with the possibility to immerse into the Digital Shipyard workshop, as well as digital solutions for transformation of legacy industries and transfer to the future technologies. In addition, 2 round tables will be held on Friday, November 15th, to support the exhibition area, namely Technological Support of Enterprises Applying the New Technological Paradigm and Information Infrastructure of the Enterprise of Industry 4.0.
Round table participants will tell about the future technologies and digitalization based on the example of the Digital Shipyard Project currently under implementation.
